Description

The aim is to win! Deep Lair is a 2 player game in which you both control submarines armed with Woofer Torpedoes. Each player must attempt to destroy all of the other player's 6 subs. At any one time you will be carrying up to 6 topedoes of which only one can be fired at a time. To re-arm your sub, take it to your base. This is the pad on which you started the game. The left pad is for the black sub, and the right for the red sub. If you land on the other player's pad you won't be re-armed. You must keep watch on your air levels. If you are below the surface of the water, it will slowly decrease. If your air runs out you will lose a sub. To supply your sub with air you must go to the surface of the water where air will be quickly re-supplied. Be careful though that you don't collide with the island. If you come into contact with the island or the sea bed (anything green!) you will immediately lose a sub. If you collide with the other player you will both lose a sub. The local waters are deep and vast. Enough so that whales swim the area. Beware that you don't collide with one of these creatures or you'll lose a sub. If you decide to shoot them with your Woofer Torpedoes they will die but you may get a letter from some obscure naturalist group demanding that you dismantle your joystick! Whales may provide a useful shield when advancing on your enemy or you may even be able to lure your opponent into one of these giant creatures.
